Lies, Lies, and More Lies

There is a big lie going on in the fitness industry. Fitness product companies know that more than any other part of your body, you want to improve the way that your abdominals look. So they come up with all kinds of phony and bogus ab products that they claim are the answer to sculpting your abs. But in reality, while these companies make a killing off of stealing your money, your abs are no better off than when you started.

So quit looking and waiting for that one new product that is going to revolutionize the fitness industry because it isn't going to happen. Instead, you could be getting results during all that time you spend looking and waiting by incorporating simple ab workouts at home.

The Truth You Ask?

The truth is that effective ab training is much less complicated than you probably realize. You don't need to spend 30 to 60 minutes on abdominal workouts and hard to do ab exercises to get the results you want.

There are actually many very simple and easy abdominal exercises that you can progress through at your own pace. And you don't need a lot of space or fancy equipment.

And while your friends begin to ask you for your latest and greatest workout routines or tae bo exercise that you used to flatten your abs, you can just laugh. Imagine the look on their faces when you tell them that all that aerobic step exercise that they do is useless and that it is as simple as doing a few easy ab workouts at home. Or you can choose to keep them guessing and keep your secret safe.

Are You New to Exercise?

While performing ab workouts at home is beneficial for everyone, no matter what your level of exercise experience, if you are beginner then performing ab workouts at home should be your primary focus prior to moving on to more demanding workout routines.

This is because your abdominals play multiple extremely important roles in just about every aspect of movement that the body goes through.

For example, whether you realize it or not, your deep abdominal muscle should contact prior to any movement of the body. This is because it is one of the most important factors in stabilizing your body. And if your abs are not working properly then you drastically increase your chance of injury.

Your abdominals also work synchronously together with your back muscles. So it makes perfect sense that performing your ab workouts at home will also increase your back strength. And now you should be able to understand why so many people suffer from back pain.

Amplify Your Results with Proper Nutrition

You might have heard the phrase “abs are made in the kitchen, not in the gym”. While this is partially true (in a superficial sense) it does bring up the good point that what you put into your body has a direct effect on how your body looks and functions. So if you want to get the best results from your ab workouts at home then you'll want to provide your body with the best source of exercise and nutrition.

And you probably don't realize that nutrition plays an even greater role with your abdominals than you might think. It goes far beyond how many calories you consume. Without going into a lot of detail, the point I want to make is that the health of your digestive tract has a direct effect on the look and function of your abs. This is due to the same phenomenon that causes left shoulder and arm pain for those who suffer a heart attack.

So you want to ensure that what you put into your body is agreeing with your digestive tract rather than working against it. Or else your abs and your digestive tract will suffer together.

But trust me when I say that you can easily do some simple ab workouts at home and get some great results without the need for buying all those ridiculous ab gadgets and expensive gym memberships.
